DYNAMIC (1994-1997)
Some would say 1994 was the year Rugby League trading cards came to life. Dynamic Marketing secured the license and for the first time a season saw multiple releases, special insert cards and signature cards either in pack or via redemption.
While Dynamic Marketing significantly grew the Rugby League card market, seemingly uncapped production runs, vending machine packaging and 3-4 releases a season seemed to flood the market.
The Super League war from 1995-1997 created logistical issues. Rebranded as Intrepid Marketing, 1996 Series 1 required having an ARL aligned "Starter" set and a Super League aligned "Booster" set. But the continued uncertainty around the competition structures made it hard to plan releases and 1997 saw their final Rugby League collection.
