SCANLENS (1963-1991)
Scanlens was a confectionary company started in Sydney in 1911. In 1963, as a promotional tool to try and sell more gum, Scanlens introduced trading cards featuring Rugby League players to their product.
For almost 30 years Scanlens continued this promotionl activity each year with card designs often replcated under license from the US trading card brand Topps.
